The Making Of.

The Commercial

Previously posted here. I love the reference to Akira Kurosawa's Dreams. Akira Kurosawa is a master film maker.

  1. Whenever you filter a sound, the part you don't hear ends up as the sound of dreams.

  3. Glad you asked. The short film about the nuclear fallout. The Volcanic land where the characters eventually grow horns that are super sensitive and hurt. They are in a volcanic land with giant dandylions. They all congregate in a pit and wail due to the pain of their horns. Anyway, in this commercial they are dressed like the characters, minus the horns. Same sort of landscape. They are also dressed in Japanese garb that is in one of the other shorts in Dreams. I believe the one with the fox.

  4. The obvious relief of Kirin would be a thirst quencher and pain number in this dreadful landscape. I don't know what they are saying though; if anyone knows, feel free to comment. It looks like the beer and the music takes them out of that dreadful place.

  5. Interesting connection. I see the three kinds outfits in this video as a progression from cave-man to traditional to modern (kind of tounge in cheek nonsense). The landscape resembles 'mount fuji in red', and the cave men resemble the 'weeping demons'. All appear coincidental to me. When was this made? IIRC dreams was 1990...

    Scorcese is awesome in 'crows'
