  5. VSTi companies won't copy a synth almost no one knows about and since this is the gnarliest synth ever made, it'd be the worst VSTi ever.

As for weight, it's the lightest mono ever, so little electronics inside. It goes to show the simplest designs can be the best.

  6. VSTis are actually quite lame. I've not seen one that I would use over any real analog synth. I don't even care if that synth weighs 200lbs. I have friends with good arms.

I agree. But try Linplug's Octopus. For some insane reason, I like it a lot a lot a lot.

It's got something a lot of VST synths lack: dynamic contrast.

    Reasonably original too.

  8. Personally I don't use emulators to replace analog synths. Just because it looks like a MiniMoog doesn't mean it sounds like one. That doesn't mean its any less usefull...

  9. I own a silver face Synthacon and had a question regarding the Synthacon CV and sequencers. What analog sequencers (with some sense of attainability) would you recommend sending into the beast? I have little experience in control voltage but am learning as my obsession deepens? Also, would a Midi Sequencer be a good option with MIDI / CV converter? Let me know. Thanks.
