  1. Is there a need for another digital Mellotron after the Manikin Memotron? This is a small market for these instruments.

  2. And why are they so big looking?

  3. The damned keyboard is the wrong range. You'd think they'd get that right, considering Manikin did!

  4. Actually, according to Markus, the designer, the Mellotron keyboard range did not use the bottom two notes sampled to tape. This digital version is the first to do so and is therefore the first 'tron to feature the full range, hence the keyboard you see. Check out his explanation on YouTUBE.

  5. I dint know who manikin is, but these guys own mellotron. the original tapes, trademark, they are incredibly passionate about everything mellotron. It is bigger, because if you really loved mellotrons, youd know it has the look and feel of a 400. This is a great idea. I have had several 400's and a MK-V. I cant wait to get one
