"Lysets lyd" er en lyd og lys-installation med 12 kuber med lys i, som reagerer på at publikum interagerer med dem. Kuberne vil fungere som et
interaktivt liturgisk element, hvor du selv er med til at fylde rummet med lyd og musiske fragmenter samt sætninger fra udvalgte tekster.
Det enkelte menneskes bidrag til den samlede fortælling - den samlede virkelighed - symboliseres ved at hver person, d...er interagerer med kuberne skaber en hørbar reaktion i lydbilledet samt en visuel reaktion i kuberne. Hvis du fører hånden hen til en kube, kan den få andre kuber til at skifte farve og samtidig aktiveres lyde og klange. Musikken fylder Domkirkens rum - og du er selv med til at skabe den.
Projektets formål
Projektet er en mild udfordring af den traditionelle liturgi, og målet er at gøre tilhørere til aktører - at dyrke glæden ved at være med til at give lys og ikke kun modtage lys, at være med til at skabe lyd og rum - og ikke kun være til stede i det. Legen og glæden ved at opdage at kuberne reagerer positivt på bevægelserne vil tiltale børn og unge såvel som voksne.
Musikken/lyduniverset
Musikken komponeres af Kim Pedersen, som gennem to år har bidraget til udvikling af Natkirkens ChillOut koncept, som i stigende grad tiltrækker et større publikum. Som anden musik, Kim Pedersen har komponeret, er rummets påvirkning af lydene taget i betragtning, og lyduniverset vil derfor blive opfattet som en integreret del af Kirkens rum, der samtidig vil blive oplyst af de 12 kuber.
Tidsperspektiv
Projektet afvikles over tre aftener (hhv. 21/10, 17/11 i 2011 og 3/2 2012) i Natkirken.
Om komponisten Kim Pedersen
Kim Pedersen er ddannet inden for visuel design og selvlært komponist via adskillige kurser i KODA-regi. Kim komponerede og opførte tre elektroniske værker til den officielle økumeniske gudstjeneste under Klimakonferencen COP15 d. 13/12 2009. Gudstjenesten blev sendt live på DR og bl.a. Ærkebiskop Desmond Tutu læste op hen over Kims musik. Efter Ærkebiskop Rowan Williams prædiken opførte Kim tredje og sidste del af værket Celcius I-III. Siden oktober 2008 har Kim Pedersen komponeret og opført musik til Natkirkens Chillout aftener med stor succes. Han har været placeret som både nr. 1, 3 og 4 på den internationale radiostation Astreaux Worlds ugentlige top10, og har senest udgivet sin 3. CD "Moments in Space" på Earth Mantra. I september 2010 optrådte Kim på Different Skies Electronic Space Music Festival i Arizona, USA, og herhjemme var han del af Ørestad Kulturdage, hvor han spillede live fra en tømmerflåde på Emil Holms Kanal - et projekt, der bl.a. blev rost for at tilføje en ny dimension til arkitekturen i området."

The project aims
The project is a mild challenge to the traditional liturgy, and the goal is to make listeners to actors - to cultivate the joy of helping to provide light and not only receive light that help to create sound and space - and not only be present in it. The game and the joy of discovering that the cubes react positively to movement will appeal to children and young adults alike.
Music / soundscapes
The music composed by Kim Pedersen, who for two years has contributed to development of Night Church ChillOut concept that increasingly attract a larger audience. Like other music, Kim Pedersen has composed, is the room's effect on sounds taken into account, and soundscapes will be perceived as an integral part of the church space, which also will be informed of the 12 cubes.

About the composer Kim Pedersen
Kim Pedersen is RAINING in visual design and self-taught composer through several courses of KODA level. Kim wrote and performed three electronic works to the official ecumenical worship service under the Climate Change Conference COP15 d. 13/12 2009th The service was broadcast live on the DR, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu was reading up over Kim's music. After Archbishop Rowan Williams sermon Kim built the third and final part of the work Celsius I-III. Since October 2008, Kim Pedersen composed and performed music for Night Church Chillout evenings with great success. He has been ranked as both the Nos. 1, 3 and 4 on the international radio station Astreaux Worlds weekly top10, and has recently released its third CD "Moments in Space" on Earth Mantra. In September 2010, Kim appeared Different Skies Electronic Space Music Festival in Arizona, USA, and here at home, he was part of Ørestad Culture Days, where he played live from a raft on Emil Holms Kanal - a project including was praised for adding a new dimension to architecture in the area."
