Update: new location via Doug:

via Doug Lynner on Facebook:

"If anyone is going to be near Berkeley tomorrow evening, 4/20/13, please come and join in the fun. I will be giving a talk and a performance on my Mystery Serge modular synthesizer."

Details via the Facebook Event Page here:

Saturday 8:00pm until 10:30pm

The April Koinonia will feature:

Doug Lynner
and
Thea Farhadian

Doug Lynner’s music is based upon the notion of “sound for sound’s sake.” He explores the intrinsic value of sound through mixtures of ambient, avant garde, rhythmic and soundscape genres.

Thea Farhadian is an interdisciplinary artist and performer based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Berlin.
Her projects include solo violin and interactive electronics, improvisation, laptop performance, sound art, and video.

The Koinonia Festival is a unique opportunity to explore the inner workings of unusual music. Hosted monthly through The Berkeley Arts Festival, each event features two performers who will speak about the philosophy and aesthetics of their work and then do a performance. There is time at the end for Q&A's with the performers.

Join us for a lovely, intimate evening of thought and music!
