"In this video, we introduce the Eternal Spring Filter, our trashy, squelchy filter module which is now available. This filter allows for a wide range of unique sounds, and this filter has a very unique character. It has a nice amount of analog movement to the resonance as it is NOT temperature compensated, and at lower drive settings this module adds a nice wash of noise to the Q.

It includes saturation circuits on the input and output as well as the resonance section, so it is truly non-linear: what you put in IS NOT what you get out.

Ideal for basslines, acid lines, trashing signals, audio rate modulation, experimental sounds, etc."

The SNAZZY FX Wow and Flutter is one of the first three products coming from the newly formed SNAZZY FX and is thus a little bit of synth history.

"here is a quick demo of the Snazzy FX wow and flutter. This is one of the three products I am releasing at NAMM in 2 weeks. it is a pretty full featured box, with super heavy duty steel box, with beautiful graphics, and an extremely versatily set of controls. I like this box a lot because you can sit around with it for hours and keep getting intersting sounds. from sort of chorus/or comb filtering stuff to delay, to weird messed up tape effects (which are a lot easier to hear on a mix then they are on a guitar) to pitch shifting.

this box can take line or guitar level and can go from clean to slightly overdriven.

"As some of you may have noticed lately i have been a bit absent from the list. this is mainly due to how damn busy i have been trying to get my three products ready for NAMM, with my new company, SNAZZY FX.

mark verbos has been a super big help throughout the development of these products (all the circuit boards were designed by him)

i wont get into too much detail at the moment about the three products and i must apologize about the poor audio quality of this video, but i will be posting a few more links in the next week or so, and giving more information on the three products.

the wow and flutter is at this moment the least knob laden of the three boxes. the tracer city has over 20 controls. the mini-ark (based on the tracking section from the audio ark) has about 10 controls, but one of these is a "magical selector" 1-8 preset rotary switch.

as you can probably imagine, things are crazy for me right now, assembling boxes, getting orders of parts in, and picking up boxes from the silkscreen shop. these are are what i will be taking to NAMM but i might make a few changes such as paint type,etc when i go into production (i think the final boxes will be powder coated)

by the way, the two more complex boxes both run off of TRUE 12 or 15 +/- rails with a 9v (though not recommended on the tracer city do to current drain) batt or 9v dc adapter (boss adapter recommended)

anyway...just thought id let you all know that I will have three products out in Jan 2010.

"The dreamboat is a dual chaotic oscillator with 2x cv inputs, a gate output with adjustable threshold, and two sets of x and y outputs. There are two oscillator sections to the module, the top half is an audio rate chaotic oscillator and the lower half outputs lfo rate signals. With its five outputs, the Dreamboat allows you to connect to plenty of modules all at once, allowing all kinds of modulation and listening possibilities."

"An old 80's Casio synth with the TRACER CITY, and the WOW and Flutter.
Sound was taken from the the casio's headphone out, which though less than ideal, is one way of getting the sound out of the synth and into the pedals.

This video demonstrates some of the fun you can have just picking ANY random sound source, drums being a particularly good source of fun. The envelope follower section of the Tracer City is in use, as are some of the pitch warbling properties of the Wow and Flutter. This is going through a guitar amp, which adds a lot of grit."

Has interesting non-linearity in the Q section which allows for instability, even chaos at some settings ! '

HI_GAIN Enter a world of trash. A world of scraping hi-hats, smashed up kicks, beautiful clipped white noise, broken file cabinets, disused railway cars...The HI_GAIN was designed to create noise, to pump up the hiss, to boost asymmetrical happiness for super acidic bass lines and more. Like other Snazzy FX modules, the HI_GAIN encourages play with capital P - cross couple/feedback/mix outputs/send CV. Repeat.

"pre-patched connections for many useful feedback configurations! wave modulation vca also works as an amplitude vca when externally patched. vco has normalized modulation inputs coming from attractor A AND B. in this box everything is doubled do to there being two entirely separate chaos oscillators . plug the vco out back into the chaotic system for more fun. hook up a controller (ribbon, keyboard, etc) and this would be a very useful live box!!"
