Rheyne - 9/11/12 - Live Jam #53

YouTube Published on Sep 11, 2012 by RheyneMusic

"Download or stream the audio at SoundCloud: http://snd.sc/Q0TdiP

A live looping improv jam with analog keyboards, USB controllers, and iOS devices. The left iPad is running Lemur, wirelessly controlling Ableton Live's mixer. The 2nd iPad is running PPG WaveGenerator, receiving MIDI from an Oxygen 49 via an iConnectMIDI. A MIDI Fighter 3D is controlling Ableton's loopers. An Akai MPD26 is triggering NI's Massive, and an Akai APC20 and Novation Launchpad are controlling the recording and playback of loops in Ableton. A third iPad is also wirelessly running Lemur next to a Fender Rhodes and Moog Prodigy. All audio is passed through a PreSonus 1818VSL connected to a Macbook Pro running Ableton Live.

All loops are recorded live, nothing was pre-recorded."

'74 ARP 2600 SN 261306 & 3620 KEYBOARD SN 361306R

"For your consideration is this vintage 1974 ARP 2600 series "2600P" analog synthesizer and matching "3620" keyboard. This particular set, serial numbers 261306 and 361306R, is in very good all original condition and includes the original cases and the original gray power cable. The ARP 2600 is considered the absolute benchmark in compact analog semi-modular synthesis. Extremely versatile, and capable of producing a seemingly indefinite amount of both classic and modern synth sounds, the 2600 has become the standard by which other synths are measured. Some sellers ask upward of $9,000.00 for comparable synths, but we decided to offer this example to the highest bidder, with a $.01 Minimum, No Reserve, Free USA Shipping, and discounted Worldwide delivery! So place a bid now, because this synth will be sold to the highest bidder... regardless of price!

Played, and made famous, by a veritable who's who of modern music, the ARP 2600 can be heard on albums by: John Lennon, Stevie Wonder, Joy Division, Kraftwerk, Frank Zappa, Herbie Hancock, Steve Miller, The Beastie Boys, Cat Stevens, The Who, Depeche Mode, U2, and an ever-expansive alumnus of artists whom have featured this amazing synth in their music.

Though not in pristine cosmetic condition, this is a fantastic original specimen for a player looking to acquire a fully functional unit. It was recently purchased from the original owner, who actually owned 3 different 2600s (one of which we just sold last week for $8,000.00), and was maintained and serviced by him throughout his lengthy ownership.

There are no modifications, no repairs, no breaks, and no missing pieces. Some of the fastening hardware was possibly replaced with alternate washers, otherwise, all of the important sliders, slider tips, modules, etc., are entirely original. The 3620 keyboard is in great shape, works perfectly, and has nicely aligned tempered action.

This early-production second version of the 2600 features the coveted 4012 filter which copied Moog's patented ladder-filter design, later ending in a legal dispute which forced ARP to change their faulty 4072 filters in 1977."

Ultra Rare EMS POLYSYNTHI

"WoW! This is one of the few and working EMS Polysynthi, produced between the '78 and 79 in ONLY 29 exemplars!!! As far I know the last Peter Zinovieff work. Space look... totally amazing to see, its sound is magic! It's fully polyphonic with built in analog delay and chorus (both CV/keyboard touch controllable) Two cv-lfo's with many combinations, modulable also from keyboard aftertouch, filter is very very nice selectable from 2 to 4 poles, envelope follower for external signals and many other features. For me is one of the best polyphonic synthesizers ever made with unique sound and an incredible look. It's perfect working, just well tested another time but due the vintage nature of this instrument I'll sell it as seen..."

via Dan Kirkhus on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge: "Here's an all-Impaktor track I assembled today. Kudos to BeepStreet, Impaktor is easily the best $5 I've spent on the iPod."

Nina building a Synthacon style filter

YouTube Published on Sep 11, 2012 by Zoƫ Blade

"A time lapse video of Nina building a Synthacon style filter. It's the Elby Designs Panther series version of the Ken Stone design, or CGS735 for short. ("Catgirl Synth", apparently.)

We had to modify it a little afterwards to get it to work correctly, putting C211 in the other way around and replacing two of the diodes with jumper wires."
