Pittsburgh Modular Filter Introduction Video

YouTube Published on May 17, 2012 by amphonic

http://pittsburghmodular.com/filter/

"The Filter defines the Jekyll and Hyde sound of Pittsburgh Modular. On the one hand, it offers a warm, organic sweep through the full frequency range. The lowpass filter is gummy and relaxed while the highpass is clean and defined. On the other hand, switching into oscillator mode turns theFilter into a howling beast capable of chunky walls of distortion and noise. The goal was to produce a filter that does not have a single sweet spot. We worked to make every turn of a knob or flip of a switch offer something new and musically engaging."

Pittsburgh Modular Foundation Introduction Video

YouTube Published on May 17, 2012 by amphonic

http://pittsburghmodular.com/foundation/

"The Foundation is a fully modular, eurorack, analog synthesizer. A patchable system styled after the great monosynths of the past with no hardwired signal path or fixed voice architecture to restrict creativity. Driven by two wide range analog oscillators the Foundation produces a huge, warm sound that can't be matched by digital or VST synths. All of the elements of a classic voltage controlled synthesizer are available as an open, patchable, modern synth."

Update: Ships in 30 days at $1695 MSRP.

Pittsburgh Modular Confluence Analog Delay

anadelay.mov

YouTube Published on Apr 22, 2012 by amphonic

"A brand new analog delay module designed around a pair of 4096 Bucket Brigade Delay Line (BBD) ICs to produce a distinct analog delay effect. The maximum delay time when shipped is set at 9/10ths of a second but this can be adjusted up to 2 seconds. The Analog Delay offers voltage control of the delay time, feedback, and wet signal. A true bypass switch allows the delay to be enabled and disabled quickly."

Pittsburgh Modular VILFO Introduction Video

YouTube Uploaded by amphonic on Feb 16, 2012

"Voltage Influenced Low Frequency Oscillator
The-Pittsburgh Modular Voltage Influenced LFO is unique in the modular world. It is a strange, triangle based LFO that lives in an 8hp euro panel. The module offers two outputs, a triangle wave, and a variable waveform that shifts from a triangle to something that is almost not completely a square wave. The VILFO also includes a unique voltage influence circuit. The influence works differently than standard control voltage inputs, it allows the incoming CV to mingle with the LFO waveforms in interesting ways, creating unique modulations and patterns."

Pittsburgh Modular Oscillator Introduction Video

YouTube Uploaded by amphonic on Jan 30, 2012

A wide range, high quality, 8hp eurorack utility VCO. It offers a full compliment of standard waveforms including Sine, Triangle, Saw, and Pulse waves. The Oscillator offers 5 octaves of 1 volt per octave tracking, and a frequency range starting as low as 7 seconds per cycle, allowing it to double as an LFO. Additional features include oscillator reset for hard syncing, attenuated linear FM input, pulse width, and pulse width CV input."

NAMM: Pittsburgh Modular VC Bend Introduction Video

YouTube Uploaded by amphonic on Jan 12, 2012

The VC Bend is designed as a way to create less than certain variations from pre-determined control voltages, like transposing / inverting a bassline into a melody or creating a 3rd envelope from 2 sources. Used at audio rate, it acts like a voltage controlled full wave rectifier. The VC Bend favours 'esoteric' applications over precision. More often than not the output voltage will not resemble the input. Functionally, the VC Bend sits somewhere between a sample and hold and a quantizer module. However, the type of modulation produced is completely unique to the VC Bend."

Pittsburgh Modular AudioMixer/Attenuator Introduction Video

YouTube Uploaded by amphonic on Dec 7, 2011

The Pittsburgh Modular AudioMixer/Attenuator eurorack modular module is a flexible, low-noise four channel mixer and/or attenuator for audio and cv that can be used in several ways. Three of the four channels have an output that removes the channel from the mixer circuit and allows it to become a standalone attenuator.

- 4 Channel Mixer
- 4 Independent Attenuators
- Attenuators and a 2 Channel Mixer
- 1 Attenuator and a 3 Channel Mixer
- Width: 8hp
- Module Depth 20mm with a power cable connected
- Power Usage: 20mA"

Pittsburgh Modular Generator / Analog Delay / Oscillator Test Patch

YouTube Uploaded by amphonic on Apr 28, 2011

"This is a modular patch using all of the Pittsburgh Modular modules. All of the percussion sounds are produced using 2 Generator modules. The lead sound is 3 Oscillator modules sent into a Doepfer A-105 filter then into the Analog Delay. The kick/bass is a VILFO running at audio rate. 2 Timetables are creating all the rhythms."

Pittsburgh Modular Generator Noise Demo

YouTube Uploaded by amphonic on Apr 26, 2011

"This is a demo of the Pittsburgh Modular Generator synthesizer module. The Generator is a dual oscillator built around two triangle core, wide range, periodic waveform generators. Ideal as the basis for tuned percussion/noise, abrasive amplitude, frequency and timbral modulation. Tones, drones and textures. As a multipurpose signal generator, Generator can provide the basis of a wide range of complex sounds from drums to atonal, nintendo zipper/fart noises. This module was made for FM madness.

The Generator is modulated by a Doepfer A-145 LFO."

Pittsburgh Modular VILFO as an Ugly VCA

YouTube via amphonic | August 04, 2010

"An oscillator is patched directly into a Pittsburgh Modular VILFO used as a VCA to produce an interesting tremolo like effect. A square wave from a Synthesizers.com Oscillator is fed into the Variable Control Voltage of the VILFO. A Make Noise Brains/PressurePoints sequence is sent to the 1V/Octave input of the Oscillator to vary the pitch. The sequence is also sent to the Influence Control Voltage of the VILFO to control the rate of the VILFO. A lower pitch speeds up the VILFO and a higher pitch slows the VILFO down."
